UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) jobs for Associate Professor and Stores Officer in Delhi Vacancy and Qualification Details:

1. (Vacancy No. 17061201324) One Associate Professor in Political Science,
Army Cadet College Wing, Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Ministry of
Defense (UR-01). The post is suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability Viz. Orthopedically Handicapped/Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy with One Leg Affected (Right or Left) (OL) or both legs and both arms affected (BLA) or Hearing Impairment viz. Deaf (D) or Partially Deaf (PD). The post is permanent. 
Pay Scale: PB-4, Rs. 37,400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay Rs. 9000 + DA + HRA as admissible.
General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

QUALIFICATIONS:
(A) EDUCATIONAL:
(i) Good academic record with a Ph. D Degree in the discipline of Political Science.
(ii) Fifty five percent of the marks, or equivalent grade wherever grading system is followed at the Master's Degree level.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology –mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided Doctoral candidates and research students.
(iv) A minimum score of 300 as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by University Grants Commission in these regulations.
(B) EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years of experience of teaching and/or research in Political Science an academic research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a university or college or accredited research institution or Industry excluding the period of Ph. D Research with evidence of published work and a minimum of five publications as books and/or research in Political Science or policy papers indexed or ISBN or ISSN numbered books or journals and university developed ISBN or ISSN list of journals hosted in the website of the concerned university.
NOTE-I: A relaxation of five percent of marks may be provided at the Graduate and Master's level for the Schedule Castes or Scheduled Tribes or differently-abled (Physically and Visually Handicapped) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. Rounding off of marks to make it to 55 % or 50 % as the case may be through grace mark procedure etc., by universities is not permissible for claiming relaxation.
 NOTE-II: A relaxation of 5 % may be provided, from 55 % to 50 % of the marks to the Ph. D Degree holders, who have passed their Master's Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.
NOTE-III: Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55 % wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible.
 NOTE-IV: Ph. D shall be a compulsory requirement for all candidates applying for direct recruitment as Associate Professor.
NOTE-V: The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M. Phil and/or Ph. D shall not be considered as research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions.
NOTE-VI: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
NOTE-VII: The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for the reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, if any at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancy reserved for them.
NOTE-VIII: The term “Good Academic Record” means at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject i.e. Political Science from and Indian University or an equivalent Degree from accredited foreign University.
NOTE-IX: The term “Equivalent Grade” means the candidate should possess grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject i.e. Political Science from and Indian University or an equivalent Degree from accredited foreign University.
NOTE-X: Fulfilling any of the requirement mentioned in EQ(A)(iii) will be considered sufficient for the purpose of EQ(A) (iii). Evidence of having guided Doctoral candidates and Research students will not be considered as an additional requirement, but as any other requirement indicated in EQ(A)(iii). DUTIES: To impart academic instructions to cadets and assess them according to training programmed and syllabus.  Pay Scale: Pre-revised Pay Scale: Rs.9,300-34,800/- (PB-2) + Rs. 4,600/- (Grade Pay). As per 7th
CPC:- Level 7 in the Pay Matrix. General Central Service, Group ‘B’ Gazetted,
Ministerial. Age: 30 yrs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
(A) EDUCATIONAL:
Master’s degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy/Biochemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology of a recognized University or equivalent (Equivalent Educational Qualification is nil).

(B) EXPERIENCE: One year’s experience in a responsible capacity in care, custody and handling stores Medical Store or a similar Organization. NOTE: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

DESIRABLE: Working knowledge of Stores Accounting.
DUTIES: To assist the Head of Institution. To supervise all activities related to Procurement & Stores of the Organization. Issuing Specific Bidding Documents by calling tenders as per GOI norms. Drafting & Placing Supply Order/Contract for the supply of goods and equipment. Draft and arrange the publication of Notice Inviting Tender. To carry out any other work of the institution as per assignment/exigency.
